Today, Year 2 travelled back in time to explore the fascinating world of the Victorian era. Dressed in wonderful Victorian costumes, the children fully embraced the experience and enjoyed discovering what life was like more than 100 years ago.
Throughout the day, the pupils have taken part in a variety of engaging history activities, learning about Victorian life, schools and traditions. They have also been learning about the inspiring work of Florence Nightingale, whose kindness, courage and determination helped to transform nursing and improve healthcare around the world.
The children have shown great enthusiasm, curiosity and creativity throughout the day, asking thoughtful questions and immersing themselves in life as young Victorians. It has been a fantastic opportunity to bring history to life and deepen their understanding of this important period in British history.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our Victorian History Day and are proud of the effort Year 2 has put into their learning and their wonderful costumes. What a memorable day of discovery and adventure! 🎩📚✨
