Roaming POW Day: A Journey Around the World

by | Feb 6, 2026 | Uncategorized

This week, children across the school embarked on an exciting global adventure during our Roaming POW Day, exploring a variety of countries and cultures through hands-on, creative, and immersive activities.

Our F1 and F2 children teamed up to discover the vibrant country of India. They stepped into the world of Bollywood with high‑energy dance sessions, explored new flavours with food tasting and experimented with spice painting to create beautifully scented artwork. The classroom was alive with colour, movement and curiosity as the children embraced the sights, sounds and tastes of Indian culture.

Meanwhile, Year 1 and Year 2 joined forces for their own cultural explorations. Half of each class journeyed to Australia, where they created Aboriginal-inspired artwork and learned about the significance of traditional patterns and symbols. The other half ventured to Brazil, designing bright and colourful festival masks inspired by the world-famous Carnival. Both groups also enjoyed constructing iconic landmarks from their chosen countries, bringing geography to life through creativity and teamwork.

Throughout the day, it was wonderful to see every child enthusiastic, engaged, and eager to learn. Their curiosity about the wider world shone through in every activity, making Roaming POW Day a truly memorable and meaningful experience for all.
