Nursery admissions

We currently take children in our Nursery the term after their 3rd birthday, dependent on spaces available.

For children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020

Bedgrove Infant School offers places to 120 pupils per year.  The school’s admission arrangements are as described by the Buckinghamshire Education authority for all county schools.

All applications for a place at our school must be made via the Buckinghamshire Council School Admissions Portal: https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools-index/school-admissions/

The admissions process for parents and carers who intend to apply for a reception place at Bedgrove Infant School from September 2024 begins in September 2023.

Key Dates

  • September 2023: admissions information available from the school website and tours available through September and October
  • 12th January 2024: deadline for submission of online applications for a reception school place to Buckinghamshire Council School Admissions Team

In-year admissions

Bedgrove Infant School offers places to 120 pupils per year group and 96 in the Nursery.  The school’s admission arrangements are as described by the Buckinghamshire Education authority for all county schools.

All applications for a place at our school must be made via the Buckinghamshire Council School Admissions Portal: https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools-index/school-admissions/

If a space is available they will contact you directly to offer it, and then notify us. If no spaces are currently available your child can be added to the Continued Interest list (waiting list) and the Admissions Team will notify you once a space becomes available.

Where there is an oversubscription the schools admission policy is applied, and applicants are placed on the waiting list held by County.

Tour Dates

If your child is starting school in September 2024 you may have started to think about school applications. Viewing a school can help you make an informed decision when selecting your school choices.

We are pleased to offer ‘New to Reception 2024’ tours on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 26th September 2023 – No Spaces Available
  • Tuesday 3rd October 2023 – No Spaces Available
  • Monday 9th October 2023- No Spaces Available
  • Monday 16th October 2023 – No Spaces Available

Groups are limited to 30 people and we therefore ask that you book your visit by emailing the school office on office@bedgroveinfant.co.uk. We ask that a maximum of 2 people attend per family to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to visit. Please arrive at 3.50pm for a 4pm start.

To allow us to complete the booking please provide the following information:

During the open day you will receive a Welcome Meeting from Miss Lawrence, a tour of the school and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Moving up to Junior School

Please note that admission to Bedgrove Junior School for Years 3 – 6 is not automatic and a separate application form will need to be completed when your child is in Year 2.
