Year 2 have been making the most of the beautiful autumn sunshine by taking their learning and creativity outdoors. Using a collection of natural autumn treasures, the children enjoyed painting conkers and transforming them into colourful works of art. This hands-on activity encouraged the children to explore colour, pattern and design while appreciating the seasonal changes happening all around them.
The outdoor environment provided the perfect inspiration, with the children carefully observing the rich autumn colours and textures found in nature. As they painted, they demonstrated fantastic creativity, concentration and imagination, producing a wonderful variety of unique designs.
Activities such as these help children develop their fine motor skills, artistic confidence and appreciation for the natural world. It was wonderful to see Year 2 so engaged, working collaboratively, sharing ideas and enjoying the warm autumn weather while creating their seasonal masterpieces.
