Today, Year 2 took part in a fun and tasty activity—making their very own fruit skewers! The classroom was filled with excitement (and lovely fruity smells!) as the children explored a colourful selection of fruits.
The children showed fantastic knife skills, carefully slicing their fruit with great focus and confidence. It was wonderful to see how sensible and independent they were while preparing their ingredients.
As part of the activity, Year 2 also learned about where different fruits come from around the world. From bananas grown in tropical climates, the children were fascinated to discover just how far some fruits travel before reaching our plates.
